Exhibited will be those key technologies from SGI:

   SGI Altix servers and supercomputers represent a new generation in SGI portfolio of HPC servers and supercomputers. These systems, build on standards like Linux and Intel Itanium processors, are revolutionary in many parameters:

  • bring new dimensions in to the word of Linux (like 256+ CPUs and several terabytes of memory in one system);
  • modularity in every dimension (CPUs, Memory, I/O, throughput) allows to build optimal system for every possible need;
  • easy upgrades and systems reconfiguration during the lifecycle, ensuring low TCO;
  • broad portfolio of applications available (both from supercomputer space as well as from Linux space);
  • features and stability traditionally available only in high-end Unix machines or supercomputer-class of equipment.
   SGI solutions for Data Storage and Data Lifecycle Management
  • brings higher productivity to HPC centers and enterprise computing facilities;
  • use state of the art technologies from LSI (RAID systems, FC and SATA storage, ...) and others partner's word leading hardware products;
  • build on SGI products like CXFS (cluster file system XFS), DMF (hierarchical storage management) and others partner's word leading software products.

ATM S.A. has been delivering SGI’s supercomputers and servers almost from the beginning of it’s existence on the Polish market. Most of the machines successfully operate in all Academic Centers in Poland. ATM eagerly participates in educational programmes and other projects that involve advanced supercomputer solutions. Among these enterprises worth mentioning are SGIGrid project co-financed by the KBN (State Committee for Scientific Research) and the delivery of Origin 3800 to the IMGW (Meteorology and Water Management Institute). That 100-processor supercomputer is the core of a numerical weather forecasting centre, created by ATM S.A. as part of the World Bank project for Meteorology and Water Management Institute in Warsaw.
