{"id":708,"date":"2015-06-03T14:54:56","date_gmt":"2015-06-03T14:54:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.iccs-meeting.org\/iccs2015\/?page_id=708"},"modified":"2025-09-08T13:55:42","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T13:55:42","slug":"awards","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.iccs-meeting.org\/iccs2025\/awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"text-align: justify; margin-bottom: 100px;\">\n\t<p>Each year we have three best paper awards at the conference: one for the main track, one for posters, and one for workshops (selected from all workshop papers). <strong>The best paper awards are sponsored by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.springer.com\/gp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Springer<\/a><\/strong>, and chosen by a dedicated committee.<\/p>\n\n\t<p style=\"margin: 25px 0px 25px 0px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.springer.com\/gp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1595\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iccs-meeting.org\/iccs2025\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Springer.png\" alt=\"Springer Logo\" width=\"206\" height=\"55\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n  <p>This year we are proud to announce three new awards, in addition to the three above. <strong>These awards are sponsored by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iccs-meeting.org\/iccs2025\/registration\/#uva_fund\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">University of Amsterdam Fund<\/a><\/strong> and amount to 500 EUR each.<\/p>\n  \n  <ul>\n    <li><strong>Originality Award<\/strong><br>\n      We are looking for papers that address either completely novel ways to model and simulate systems, or papers that address new computational application domains. Or combinations of both.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Industrial Relevance Award<\/strong><br>\n      We are evaluating papers against the potential use for industrial applications. Papers need to show at least a proof of concept.<\/li>\n    <li><strong>Societal Relevance Award<\/strong><br>\n      We are living in a world full of challenges, from climate change to geopolitical tensions, all these challenges weigh heavy on our individual and societal well-being. Computational science can help understanding and even mitigating these challenges.
