As such, many submissions initially entered as full papers are accepted\nas short papers.<br>\nDuring the reviewing stage, the scientific committee may conclude that a paper originally submitted as a &#8220;full paper&#8221; is definitely interesting and worthy of publication, but that it needs more work and refinement to effectively be accepted as a 15-page full paper.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nSuch papers are then accepted as short papers (8-page limit), and can be presented either as posters or as talks (20 minutes incl.Q&#038;A).<br>\nThe presentation type is decided by the scientific committee, having in mind how the paper&#8217;s particular content may better fit the program of the conference. \n<\/p>\n<p>\nAll short papers, regardless of presentation type, are published in the proceedings in the exact same way as full papers, and indexed by the same indices. The only difference between a full paper and a short paper, publication-wise, is the number of pages.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nFurthermore, at ICCS, posters are up during the full three conference days, thereby receiving a lot of exposure.\n<\/p>\n\n<h3 style=\"margin:45px 0px 20px; border-bottom: 1px solid;\">Presentation Only &#8211; Oral\/Poster<\/h3>\n\t\n<p>\nAs stated above for short papers, in ICCS the threshold for full paper acceptance is rather high. It may happen that a submission initially entered as a full\/short paper is accepted as just an abstract (for presentation at the conference but no publication in the proceedings).<br>\nThis happens when, after analyzing your paper and its reviews, we feel that it is interesting and worthy of inclusion in the conference program, but that it still needs further improvements and maturity before it is accepted for publication.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThere is also the case of researchers who can only publish in specific journals or work for companies in circumstances such that they cannot publish at all, but who still want to present their work and discuss it with their peers at ICCS.<br>\nThese contributions are initially submitted as abstracts (Presentation Only) and, if of suitable relevance and quality, accepted as such.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nAbstracts can be presented either as posters or orally (10 to 20 minutes incl.
